Vehicle & Foot Patrol Sometimes a visible presence is all it takes to deter would be criminals from criminal activity. Studies have shown that placing a sign in your yard, windows or doors announcing the presence of a security alarm is an effective deterrent from home invasions, even if one is not currently operable in the home. The visible warning gives criminals pause and places an obstacle in their thinking because they want to get in and out easily. Most are put off by the notion that their criminal progress will be hindered in any way. It is easier to just move on. The visibility of having a uniform officer patrol your residence, neighborhood or complex is another deterrent to criminal activity.
